The State of Michigan provides additional benefits to Veterans who are residents in Michigan. Those benefits include:
- 2 State owned Veteran Homes – one in Grand Rapids and one in Marquette, MI
- Emergency relief funds through the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund program
- Family Relief Fund – for active duty military service members in need of financial help
